How I started:

At the beginning of 2022, my friend, an experienced frontend developer, came to Krasnaya Polyana to go snowboarding. We spent a lot of time together on the slopes, enjoying the wonderful weather.

During one of our breaks, I honestly admitted to him that I was tired of my restaurant job — it no longer brought me joy or inspiration, and I wanted to try something new, to find myself in a different field.

When he asked if I had considered switching to frontend development, I replied that it probably wasn’t for me. I didn’t have a relevant education, and it seemed like I didn’t have the “right mindset” for programming. But my friend insisted: “Just try it, see what it’s about.” He suggested starting simple — learning the basics and seeing if I found it interesting.

I agreed but put the idea on the back burner. Six months later, when my desire for change grew stronger, I returned to the idea and started looking for learning options. It was important for me to find something with a free trial so I could understand if this field suited me.

Then I got lucky: I came across frontend training simulators from HTML Academy. After a few lessons and some exercises, within just three days, I realized this was exactly what I wanted to do. My curiosity and interest only grew, and I decided to purchase a full course.

That’s how my exciting journey into the world of frontend development and web technologies began.
